Prague
Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, include the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square or the Jewish Quarter. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO.
Brno
Brno is with almost 370,000 inhabitants the second largest city in the Czech Republic and represents the centre of the province of Moravia, one of the historic lands of the Czech Crow.
Telc
The town Telc is situated in south-west Moravia. It has a population of approximately 6 000 inhabitants, however, it is visited by more than 200 000 tourists every year. In 1992 the historical part of Telc entered the list of world culture heritage - UNESCO.
Kutna Hora
The architecture of Kutna Hora comes from various historical periods and together with the town's greenery it forms a harmonic complex with picturesque lanes and quiet places rich in the unequalled Baroque atmosphere and breathing gently by Gothic.
Podebrady
A historic milestone in the life of the town was the year 1905, when it was visited by the German estate owner Prince von Bülow. This well-known water diviner found in the inner courtyard signs of a strong spring, which was later bored to a depth of 97.6 metres.
Trebon
The spa, the renaissance chateau, the adjacent parks and the large expanse of Lake Svět form a unique entity with a special local colour. Třeboň is famous for its traditional fish-breeding - the local restaurant serves fish delicacies made from excellent "Třeboň carp".
Ceske Budejovice
The city of Ceske Budejovice was founded in 1265 by the Czech king Premysl Otakar II at the confluence of the Malse and Vltava River in southern Bohemia. Tourists who come to city may visit expositions of the southern Bohemian museum, galleries etc.
Hluboká nad Vltavou
The town is famous mainly for its beautiful Neo gothic chateau placed in a large English park. Hluboká lies in countryside surrounded by lakes and forests with hunting castles. You can also enjoy sports activities here, such as for example horse riding, horse race, and golf.
Cesky Krumlov
Castle and Chateau (the second largest castle area in the Czech Republic) dominates the northern part of an urban preservation area that is listed in the UNESCO World Index of Cultural and Natural Heritage.
Rozmberk nad Vltavou
The village is most known for the nearby Rožmberk Castle. Rožmberk, one of the oldest castles in South Bohemia was built by the Family of Vítek around the mid 13th century, lies on the banks of the Vltava river. It developed on a trade route from Česky Krumlov to Linz.
Plzen
The most prominent sights of Plzeň are the Gothic St. Bartholomew's Cathedral and the Renaissance Town Hall. Plzeň is also well known for the Pilsner Urquell and Gambrinus breweries - popular tourist attraction is the Plzeňský Prazdroj brewery tour.
Louny
The town's architecture was formed mainly in the 19th and 20th centuries when many old buildings were torn down. Nevertheless, the most important architectural feature is Roman Catholic St. Nicholas Church, erected between 1517 and 1537 in the late Gothic style.
Karlovy Vary
World famous for its regenerative waters, Karlovy Vary is the oldest of the Bohemian spas, and probably the second most popular tourist city in the Czech Republic, after Prague. It's also the most beautiful of the spas in the republic and, despite the crowds, the most accessible.
Marianske Lazne
The fame of Marianske Lazne based on their springs. More than 100 acidulous water springs have their source in the neighbouring surroundings and about 40 of them can be found within the territory of the town inself.
Jachymov
At the beginning of the 20th century, famouse Marie Curie Sklodowska discovered ore containing uraninite from Joachimsthal, the element radium, for which she won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. The first radon spa in the world was established in Jáchymov in 1906.
Liberec
In this time Liberec offers many interesting places. In downtown the townhall built in neo-renaissance style and finished in 1893, the Theatre of František Xaver Šalda dating from 1893, a museum, chamber of commers and a building society from years 1901-02.
Spindleruv mlyn
Špindlerův Mlýn is one of the most visited ski resorts in the Czech Republic, and has 20 runs, the most of all resorts in the country. During the winter season the area hosts the Europacup in freestyle skiing and SnowJam, a professional snowboarding event.
